A day seminar with 22 graduated from high school and others in college. We began at 10 am and ended at 6 pm. The presenters were shani, shared about self esteem, Roberta and allenya sisters shared about being beautiful on the inside, they shared magazines from home and asked about the photos of the women in them and asked the girls to pick out their favorite and then asked why it was their favorite, Paul and I talked what it means to be in relationship as husband and wife, we talked about communication, finance, and sex. Fred the physician talked about taking care of the body. He talked about transmitted diseases, to protect yourself. Afterwards we broke out and each of had time to speak with smaller groups. The questions were in depth. The girls were all orphans and their stories were painful to hear. Della has been doing this ministry 6 years and has made a real difference with these girls. They have hope and possibilities, with guidance they will become teachers, nurses, business managers, accountants and much more.
